An investigation was launched after reports of violence in a home where alcohol was overconsumed. It was found that the violence was directly linked to alcohol. Knowing that the couple’s son would be taken into custody of the municipality, they were happy to perform continuous sobriety tests if it meant not splitting up the family. The case manager had heard about TripleA and decided to let the couple try that rather than compulsory care.

“The effects have been amazing. The son is still living with his parents, there’s no violence in the family and the parents are sober.”
The caregiver also commented that other positive effects had been seen with TripleA. The quality of their appointments had been increased.
The couple got a better understanding of the caregiver and didn’t view him as a person who solely wanted to control them.
When the discussions were based on looking at the information, about what has happened since last time, both parents gained a deeper insight into their own situation.
